Alphas+Vision
Alphas have some additional vision capabilities over otherBetas. were-canines.In [[3x01 - Tattoo|Tattoo]], Derek is able to see the ink of [[Scott McCall|Scott]]'s healed [[Scott's tattoo|tattoo]] when his eyes glow, suggesting x-ray vision or infrared vision, assuming the tattoo would somehow change the heat signature on Scott's armarm. in [[3x01 - Tattoo|Tattoo]].
Derek further implies that he can see infrared when [[Chris Argent]] helps them track [[Vernon Boyd]] and [[Cora Hale]] in [[3x03 - Fireflies|Fireflies]]. Chris tosses Isaac, Scott and Derek infrared goggles, and Derek replies, "Thanks, got my own," and flashes his eyes.
