Hayden is an old enemy of Liam's. They used to go to school together, and now she's in Beacon Hills. She puts gum on his chair in their first class together. When Liam confronts her, she tells him that she's not angry, just vengeful.
In sixth grade, Hayden got in the middle of a fight that Liam was having with another kid. He punched her, and her yearbook photo had her with a black eye. Liam's photo was similar.
