Master of the Kanima+Season 2

In [[Season 2]], when [[Jackson Whittemore|Jackson]] became the Kanima, his first Master came to be [[Matt Daehler]].
Matt was a traumatized student who held a vendetta against a group of people involved in his near-drowning years earlier when he was a little boy, including [[Mr. Lahey|Isaac's father]]. When Matt first saw Jackson as the Kanima, the shapeshifter was instinctively attracted to him, and vice versa. Once bonded to Jackson, the shapeshifter shared a memory with him and Matt saw that the Kanima had killed Lahey for him. Thereafter, Matt used the Kanima to kill all the people involved in the incident.
In [[2x10 - Fury|Fury]], Matt Daeher is killed by [[Gerard Argent]]. Gerard then becomes Jackson's new Master by greeting the Kanima afterward. This is most likely due to Gerard's psycopathic, bloodthirsty character, qualities the Kanima searches for in its Master. This could explain why the Kanima didn't attack Gerard in [[2x06 - Frenemy|Frenemy]], because the shapeshifter saw Gerard as a noteworthy Master. Likewise, the Kanima had killed Lahey before Matt and Jackson had bonded, presumably because the Kanima side of Jackson had reacted to Matt's rage towards Lahey, exacting his vengeance.
