Ned Vizzini (1981-2013) was the author of It's Kind of a Funny Story. He also wrote Be More Chill and The Other Normals, and coauthored House of Secrets with Chris Columbus. Ned committed suicide on December 19, 2013, and is survived by his wife and son.
