Possession
Possession is the psychokinetic talent for a spiritual entity to take control of, to animate, to possess another living being's body.
On Teen Wolf, a species of being naturally capable of possession is a kitsune, specifically a nogitsune's talent of Kitsunetsuki.
Werewolves are also capable of possession, though through a much more complex process, and to a lesser degree. By implementing their mind meld technique, one can imprint memories of their own within a victim.
In Season 2, Peter Hale, had implanted a spiritual imprint of himself in Lydia Martin through his Bite and the mind meld ability. His personality would then manifest during Lydia's dreamscapes and hallucinations. This allowed him to control Lydia so to orchestrate his resurrection. When Peter succeeded, his mind games ceased.
