Rhys died from his wounds in [[Eichen House]] and was going to be buried with [[Noshiko Yukimura|Noshiko]] in a mass grave. When she called to the [[kitsune]] spirits to send down a [[nogitsune]] so she could take vengeance, the spirit inhabited Rhys instead.
